Cooking Instructions

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, eggs, milk, water, salt, and melted butter until smooth. Small lumps are okay; don’t overmix.
  • Heat a lightly oiled skillet or crepe pan over medium heat. Pour about ¼ cup of batter into the hot pan. Quickly tilt the pan in a circular motion so the batter spreads evenly into a thin circle.
  • Cook for about 2 minutes per side, or until the crepe is lightly golden. Use a thin spatula to flip and cook the other side.
  • Transfer the cooked crepe to a plate. Repeat the process with the remaining batter, stacking the cooked crepes as you go.
  • Once all the crepes are cooked, drizzle chocolate sauce over each crepe in a spiderweb pattern. Start with a spiral of concentric circles, then drag a toothpick from the center outwards to create the web design.
  • Top each crepe with a dollop of whipped cream and some fresh berries. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For thinner crepes, add a tablespoon of water to the batter at a time. If you don’t have a crepe pan, a non-stick skillet will work perfectly. Make the chocolate spiderweb design easier by using a squeeze bottle or piping bag for the chocolate sauce. Let the crepes cool slightly before adding the whipped cream to prevent it from melting too quickly.
