  • 0.5 cups unsalted butter, melted
  • 0.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cups brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.5 cups apple cider
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.25 cups granulated sugar (for crust)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for crust)
  • 2 tablespoon melted butter (for crust)

Instructions
 

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and eggs. Add apple cider and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, stirring until just combined to keep the loaf tender.
  • Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Bake for 45–50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • While the loaf is baking, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Once the loaf is baked and slightly cooled, brush the top with melted butter and sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture generously.
  • Slice and serve warm for best flavor and texture.

Notes

This loaf is best enjoyed warm and can be kept in an airtight container for a few days.
