Cabbage Steaks Ingredients

  • 2 small heads cabbage
  • 3 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cut the stems off the cabbage heads and then cut each one in half, then in half again.
  • Place the cabbage steaks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Brush the cabbage with olive oil and sprinkle with salt, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • Flip the cabbage and reapply olive oil and seasonings; add red pepper flakes if desired.
  • Bake at 400°F for about 25 minutes until browned and tender.

Notes

Serve as is, with pasta, grains, topped with tofu or alongside other veggies. Store in a tight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in a microwave or a 350°F oven.
