Instructions
 

Making the Pumpkin Bread

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine pumpkin puree, sugar, and vegetable oil until smooth.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Pour half of the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  • Prepare the cream cheese swirl by mixing the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Dollop the cream cheese mixture over the batter and use a butter knife to swirl it into the batter.
  • Pour the remaining batter over the cream cheese layer and repeat the swirling process.
  • Bake for approximately 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
