- 3 naranjas for zest and juice
- 300 g harina all-purpose flour
- 0.5 teaspoon levadura química baking powder
- 150 g azúcar moreno brown sugar
- 200 ml aceite de oliva suave light olive oil
- 3 huevos eggs
- 1 teaspoon extracto de vainilla optional
- 1 piece mantequilla for greasing the pan
- 1 pinch sal salt
Grate the oranges and mix the zest with the brown sugar, rubbing them together to release the oils and aromas.
Juice the oranges; use 180 ml of juice and mix it with the sugar, vanilla extract, oil, and the 3 eggs. Stir well.
In a large bowl, add sifted flour, baking powder, and salt. Once combined, add the liquid mixture you just prepared.
Combine everything together.
Before pouring the batter into the pan, grease it with a piece of butter, then add a tablespoon of flour and spread it to cover the interior.
Pour in the batter and bake the cake at 180 °C for 40 minutes. Before removing it from the oven, check with a toothpick if it's cooked inside.
Once baked, remove it from the oven and wait a minimum of 15 minutes before unmolding.
