Ingredients
  

Teriyaki Sauce

  • 0.25 cups soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 cup water, divided
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated or minced
  • 2 tablespoons corn starch
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest

Stir Fry

  • 1 pound Turkey
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 3 cups broccoli florets, fresh or frozen
  • 1 small onion, small diced
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • salt and pepper to taste as desired

Instructions
 

Teriyaki Sauce

  • Combine ¾ cup water, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, honey, and brown sugar in a small sauce pan over medium heat. Stir to combine.
  • Bring to a low boil. Whisk ¼ cup water and corn starch together until completely dissolved. Slowly stir in the corn starch mixture and allow to thicken. Remove from heat and stir in the orange zest.

Stir Fry

  • Add sesame oil to a wok over medium high heat. Add onion and heat for several minutes to soften.
  • Add in the turkey and heat until fully cooked, about 7-10 minutes.
  • Add in the broccoli and carrots and cook until heated through. Change heat to low and stir in the Teriyaki sauce. Simmer for several minutes until ready to serve.
  • Serve over rice or as desired!

Notes

You can vary the meat used in this recipe if desired. Ground chicken, pork, or beef are great substitutes. Add some spice if desired with cayenne or red pepper flakes.
